The element that enticed me to go this far was pretty simple, my friend told me this place serves more 80 types of dishes which in the end is not true, or we just end up in the wrong cafe.
Located in Piping Garden in Batu Mango Penang is this shop here, paraded with not only a swath of patrons, it attracts a lot of illegal vehicles causing pain to an already bottle neck path. From the look of this joint, it looks like your run of the mill kowtow without food stalls. That's cause the food is prepared by its in-house kitchen, mainly comprising of Asian or Chinese style, where you'd have a bowl of rice accompanied with a main serving of chicken, meat, fish where they could be cooked in many styles.
My friend had the sweet and sour sauce fried fish, I would say 6 to 7 pieces of generous sizes seafood for a plate that costs RM6. Taste wise, I forgotten to ask him how it went, but he 'swallowed' in less than 5 minutes so…but he's a big guy…so you better be the judge.
I had Marmite chicken, now this is kinda hard to explain the compound that forms the sauce containing this flavor but I'll try my best to describe it here, its made of yeast and contains a 'beefy' flavor, which feels like a meat sauce to be more exact. For all i know i was eating chicken with some sort of beef coating, seems weird but it"s nice. Now this I can elaborate further while its digesting in my tummy, the chicken was deep fried prior to being cooked with the mar mIte sauce, for RM5 I do feel that it's quite a reasonable price for the taste and portion.
