21 Jun 2011 @ 9 pm .Seramai hampir 60 penduduk yang terlibat dalam banjir kilat pada 15/6/11 mendapat sumbangan bantuan sebanyak Rm100 setiap rumah.YB Raveen berkata Kerajaan PR tidak mahu membiarkan rakyat menanggung kesusahan dengan memberi sebungkus nasi kandar namun dapat merasakan kepayahan mereka.Sejumlah Rm 6000 diagihkan kepada orang kampung yg terlibat dari peruntukan Yb sendiri.Sumbangan ini di beri memandangkan terutamanya kawasan ini terlalu ketinggalan kebelakang dari segi infrastruktur jika dibandingkan kawasan lain dalam dun batu uban.
Dalam menangani isu banjir ini YB akan memastikan JPS turun padang bersama Pejabat Daerah TL dalam menyelesaikan segera masalah ini.Dalam pada itu YB Datuk Halim @ Speaker Dewan Undangan Negeri yg julung kali melawati Kpg ini agak simpati dengan situasi yang dialami oleh penduduk disini .Beliau memberi penerangan berkaitan peranan setiap peringkat kerajaan dari seorang Ahli Parlimen diperingkat Federal ,Adun di peringkat Negeri dan Ahli Majlis diperingkat Kerajaan Tempatan.Beliau mengalu-alukan bantuan kepada penduduk yg terlibat.

Hadir sama Iszuree Ibrahim Ahli Majlis Mppp,Pengerusi JKKK Hj Osman dan Ketua Caw Pas Batu Uban Hj Mejar (B) Abdullah .

Iszuree Ibrahim yang menjadi pengerusi majlis pada malam itu mengalu alukan sumbangan YB Raveentharan dan kesudian YB Dato Speaker hadir pada majlis berkenaan.Dalam kejadian banjir di Batu Uban beliau ketika itu baru sahaji habis mengadakan dialog bersama Persatuan Penduduk ,JMB, IWK dan Pemaju Sunway di Flat Taman Teluk Kumbar Sungai Batu Dun bayan Lepas ,sebaik sahaja mendapat panggilan telepon dari penduduk beliau terus turun ke kawasan banjir yang bersebelahan Dewan JKKK Batu Uban dan memantau situasi sekitar kawasan dan melapurkan kepada Penghulu kawasan dan YB Adun untuk tindakan susulan.

Iszuree yang juga Setiausaha JKKK Batu Uban memberi penerangan bahawa JKKK sebelum ini berkerja keras membantu masyarakat setempat dan juga meningkatkan taraf infrastruktur seperti pelebaran Jalan Batu Uban dipersimpangan lampu isyarat Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah selain itu menambahkan kemudahan lampu jalan dalam memastikan setiap kawasan cerah setiap malam seperti di Padang permainan Taman Century yang gelap gulita sebelum ini ,beliau telah membelanjakan sejumlah peruntukan Ahli majlis dalam memasang 4 tiang lampu di Padang berkenaan.Selain itu JKKK Batu Uban telah pun berjaya menubuhkan Koperasi untuk memajukan masyarakat Kpg Batu Uban terutamanya yang dinamakan sebagai KOPERASI EKONOMI BATU UBAN BERHAD yang telah mendapat kelulusan Suruhanjaya Koperasi Negeri pada bulan April 2011 dan membuka keahlian kepada penduduk kampung sekarang.

It is learnt that Ivory Properties had submitted the higher bid to develop an initial 24.8ha at Bayan Mutiara on Penang Island.

George Town: Ivory Properties Group Bhd is believed to have won the right to develop over 40ha of land at Bayan Mutiara on Penang Island.

Business Times has learnt that the decision to award the tender to Ivory was made during Penang Development Corporation's board meeting which ended late yesterday evening.

Ivory and SP Setia Bhd were in the race to develop the landbank, which was put out by the Penang state government via a request for proposal (RFP), for which the reserve price was reportedly set at RM200 per sq ft.

It is learnt that Ivory had submitted the higher bid to develop an initial 24.8ha, which is located south of the Penang Bridge. The cost of developing the land surpasses the RM1 billion mark.

The RFP comes with the potential to develop an additional 14ha, by way of a future reclamation after the development of the initial 24.8ha land.

The Bayan Mutiara tender is part of the state government's efforts to unlock the value of the land it owns in selected areas.

Ivory's success leaves SP Setia in the lurch, as currently, it is the only developer without any development projects along Penang's southern corridor where its rivals are present.

The rivals include Mah Sing Group Bhd, which is planning a mixed-development property project in Batu Maung. Ivory Properties is present via "The View Twin Towers" development in Batu Uban, while IJM Land Bhd had already embarked on its landmark waterfront development of "The Light", close to the Penang Bridge.

In January this year, the Penang state government announced that SP Setia – via subsidiary Eco Meridean Sdn Bhd – had won a RM300 million project to build and operate the Penang International Convention and Exhibition Centre in Relau on the island.

The project was reportedly meant to create a "Penang People's Park" that includes the country's first subterranean Penang International Convention and Exhibition Centre , a 2.8ha public park on the rooftop, a refurbished and upgraded Penang International Sports Arena, a refurbished and upgraded aquatic centre as well as a four-star hotel with retail outlets and a spacious parking lot.

It is a sad day when a child has to suffer, especially when she is supposed to be enjoying herself on one of Malaysia's most popular beaches. But that is exactly what happened to Arina Kirana Azrin, 5, when she was knocked down by a horse ridden by a man on the beach. It is very fortunate that she suffered a dislocated left shoulder and not lost her life.

Unregulated beach activities at Batu Ferringhi have led to several nasty accidents recently

The man who rode the horse? He did not bother to stop and just tried to get away from enforcement officers who were at the beach at that time. No word in news reports whether the man was apprehended but the incident highlights a very, very, very old issue about Batu Ferringhi. Water sports and beach activities have been a bone of contention between operators and authorities, with no resolution in sight. Consequently, there is still no real enforcement, even though there is supposed to be a ban on some activities, especially after a horrific accident involving a Chinese tourist in February earlier this year.

It really does seem that those involved in the tourism sector in Penang have not learnt from the past. It makes us wonder how many more innocent people have to suffer, and what exactly will it take to actually see this situation finally resolved.

Gerakan has urged the DAP-led Penang government to enforce laws on sporting activities at the popular beach of Batu Ferringhi.

Local government bureau chairman Teh Leong Meng said serious attention must be given to public safety along the beach as it could affect the tourism industry.

"We have laws but they will not work if there is no strict enforcement and proper control," he said in a statement to Bernama here Wednesday.

On Wednesday, Arina Kirana Azrin, 5, dislocated her left shoulder after she was knocked down by a horse ridden by a man on the beach.

Teh said horse-riding and watersports were banned in Feb after Chinese tourist Zhu Li, 47, suffered broken legs after being hit by a flying jetski.

Penang Municipal Council had since issued guidelines to watersports operators including asking them to undergo first aid training and provide general insurance worth RM50,000.

Tempat perkelahan terdekat kami. Pada ptg sabtu...kami berkelah disini sambil ingin bermandi di laut. Namun cdgn itu terpaksa dibatalkan disebabkan ombak terlalu kuat...jd kami bermain di pesisir pantai, namun basah la juga kena pukulan ombok...pd hari tersebut kami membawa bersama seorang anak sedara di picnic tersebut....

Air dia kadang-kadang bersih kadang-kadang kotor.. xtaw la jugak nak pastikan bila dia akan jernih dia akan xjernih,,ikut nasib lah,,hehehe... tapi tempat nie best untuk tangkap gambar la,,hehe... dan boleh tengok matahari terbenam jugak,, (besssssttttt)....

aktiviti di waktu malam.... apa yang boleh buat di tepi pantai pada waktu malam?? semua gelap gelita kan,,,, jom kita berpindah dari tepi pantai ke tepi jalan pulak,,, di tepi jalan ada night market yang menjual macam-macam barang,,, branded pon ada,,, cd belambak,,murah-murah jer,,, ramai mat n minah saleh lah pada waktu malam yang jalan-jalan shopping nie.... minah jepun,,mat arab,macam2 lah,,

barang-barang yang dijual seperti aksesori wanita,,,jam,,cd,, aiskrim,,lampu (sangat cantik).. kasut, baju,,beg,,gambar,,teddy bear,,, macam-macam lah ada..kalu duit penoh poket sedaplah nak berjalan,,, tapi jalannya agak jauh,,berkilo-kilo.... penat la jugak,,jalan ,,jalan dan jalan,, hehehe

setelah cari gambar untuk view ,,xde langsung,,ada gambar gila kamera jer,,,hehehehe... pape pon nampak la jugak view kat blakang 2,,huhuhu...tutup mata tengok jelah,,hehehe
